Do you prefer the metric or standard system to measure cartridges?

It doesn't really matter. They are just names, and some aren't even accurate. It is easier to say '06 than 7.62x63 or .308 instead of 7.62x51, even though the last is not really the same round. The metric nomenclature is more descriptive if you are not familiar with the round.
